Maybelline Dream Mousse foundations - a review

Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse:
Price tag: ranges from $7-$10 depending on retailer

Description: Creamy & smooth texture.
Shade- 180 Nude Beige (a light-medium warm/ pink toned beige)
(This shade was a perfect match for my skin. For reference, I wear MAC's NC 25.)

Pros: easy to apply (with a sponge or foundation brush), hydrating (good for normal to dry skin), decent price tag, easy to travel with, medium coverage & dewy finish.

Cons: limited shade selection, no mirror, small amount of product, not suitable for oily skin

Overall I do really like this foundation. I have combo-oily skin (dry around my nose and chin, and oily on my t-zone) and I can make this work. I have to pat off excess shine one to two times throughout the day. I LOVE the finish. The coverage works well for me (on my days where I'm in a rush, I don't even need concealer). I prefer using a wedge or beauty blender-type sponge for application. It is great for when I only have 5-10 mins to spare for foundation.
Do I recommend this product? -Yes

Product Rating: 4/5

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse:
Price tag: ranges from $7-$10 depending on retailer

Description: Thick whipped/mousse texture.
Shade- Sandy Beige Medium 1 (a medium cool/ yellow toned beige)
(This shade was a tad too tan for me, it would probably suit me in the summer.)

Pros: Pump w/ bottle, pump can twist to close, good amount of product, slightly better shade selection, light-medium coverage

Cons: can be cakey, glass bottle, not suitable for oily skin

I didn't like this foundation as much as the dream smooth mousse. I found it was cakey and didn't leave the same nice finish as the dream smooth. It also made my face shinier at the end of the day. This is a very average foundation.
