March Green FOTD

St. Paddy's Day is just around the corner and also is Spring.  I wanted to do something different from my normal neutral color routine, so I opted for Green!

March Green FOTD

with the glasses ~

What I used:

Face: My Normal Routine, MAC So Ceylon MSF, NARS Amour blush
Eyes: MAC eyeshadow in Scrumptious Olive, Urban Decay NYC palette: Loaded and Kush, MAC Undercurrent and I get no kick liner, MAC Studio Fix mascara.
Lips: (not shown) Victoria's Secret Sheer Gloss Stick in Shy.

I rarely use bright green colors as I really have no where to wear them. I used a brighter green for the all over lid part of they eyelid then muted it some with a olive and darker green.  I know my eyebrows are messed up, I didn't have the time to fix them and now letting them grow more to fix it.  Other than that I think the color green is fun and vibrant, I just have to wear it more often!

Do you wear GREEN eyeshadow on a regular basis?

MAC Lady Gaga Inspired

For 2011, MAC named Lady Gaga their spokesperson for MAC Viva Glam.  This years look and color is totally different from last years collaboration with Cyndi Lauper.  For this year, Lady Gaga is elegant, with neutral makeup and very beautiful.  There will be a new lipstick and lipglass for the Viva Glam campaign which should be out at MAC stores and counters nationwide.

Just me

When I first saw the ad campaign for Viva Glam, I was like WOW! Lady Gaga is so beautiful, so ethereal.  Unlike last year's bright pink lipstick, this years is more neutral and laid back, which I love.  I love how the use of pinks and browns were used for the makeup and also love the styling of the fashion.

And Yes! I'm not no Gaga, so my look is probably a bit less elegant and not as close as the picture, but I tried.  I just love the subtlety of the look and know that the look is something many of us could wear.  I did not use the Viva Glam lipstick for this look as it did not come out yet when I did the look.  I do plan to pick up the lipstick and lipglass, and when I do, I'll post up some swatches and pictures.

What I used:

Face:
Neutrogena concealer, Smashbox Halo powder, MAC Tenderling Blush
Eyes:
MAC Bare Study p/p, Urban Decay Naked palette, MAC Studio Fix mascara, Blacktrack f/l, Shisem lashes
Lips:
NYX pumpkin lipstick

Valentine's Day Look

Here's a quick Valentine's Day Look that I did over the weekend!  The look is very simple, using just a few products and easy.

Valentine's Day is Almost Here!

Products used:
(sorry no pictures, I forgot)

Face: Neutrogena concealer, Smashbox Halo powder, MAC Tenderling and Peaches blush, Dior Blush
Lips: NYX lipstick in Pumpkin
Eyes: MAC Bare Study paint pot, Urban Decay NYC palette (Bordello, Last Call, Rockstar), MAC eyeshadow in Sketch and Shroom.  Urban Decay 24/7 Ransom liner, Essence brow powder, Shisem lashes, MAC Studio Fix mascara.

I love purples! I thought it would be a appropriate for Valentine's Day to do a more dramatic purple look instead of the normal pinks and reds.  This eye look is more towards creating a outer v with the purples and leaving the inner eyes goldish and brightening.  I lined the eyes with a purple eyeliner to give the eyes a nice pop to them!  With dramatic eyes, I left everything on my face a bit more neutral.  I used my blushes to contour my cheekbones and lightly dusted my cheeks.  For the lips I kept it on the neutral side and chose a more soft pink lipstick.

Let me know if you have any questions! Feel free to ask!

Everyday Neutral Look

Neutral face and eye makeup is an everyday look for me.  Since I work in the corporate office world, I can't show up with dark smokey eye or red shadow (even if I could, I probably wouldn't anyways).  I believe that anyone can pull a neutral look; You don't need much! Just a few simple products and you are good to go.

Every Day Neutral Look

What I used:

Urban Decay Naked Palette
MAC Tenderling and Peaches blush
Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Blush
Neutrogena Concealer
Smashbox Halo powder
Essence brow powder

This look is very easy and needs little products to produce.  If you have the UD Naked Palette or any neutral eyeshadows; just a few different browns will let you achieve your look.  I used a mix between a matte brown and soft shimmer brown just to even out each other.  For eyeliner, I used a darker brown to smudge along the lash line. For blush, I kept it minimal with matte finish blush, which will give me a nice glow but not so over power with shimmer.  Lips I kept it neutral looking, no bold lips, just something that is just a bit off from my natural lips. For you this look, you want to look natural, but with just a bit of color.

What's your favorite Neutral Look Combo?
