Anyway, I've noticed that a few people have been comparing these two lipsticks as dupes of one another.
I actually own both, so I decided to pull them out and see what all the hype's about.
Standing next to each other, the lipsticks do not look like dupes, but swatched next to each other they do look VERY similiar.
As you can compare in the pictures, they look almost a like. They both are a light pink with a nice sheen appearance.
However, the differences in both lipsticks are their finishes and tones.
Airy Fairy is a mauve pink that is a bit cooler in tone whereas Viva Glam V is a nude pink & is warmer in tone.
Airy Fairy has a glossy sheen with no flecks and Viva Glam V has a sheer glossy sheen with tiny flecks in it (although it's not noticeable at first glance).
Final thoughts:
So are the two alike?
In my honest opinion, yes the two are alike but don't think that by buying Airy Fairy you are getting the cheaper version of Viva Glam V because respectfully, they are different in many aspects.
Are they dupes of one another?
No.
